ED  OUTREACH

WHAT WE DO

ED Outreach teaches financial life skills and entrepreneurship to local school students. We liaise with local schools and businesses in order to arrange mentoring and then allocate our Durham University ED Outreach Mentors to specific projects. Whether the projects be one-day workshops or a series of classes, ED Outreach's mission is to highlight the importance of managing personal finance, and spark an interest in entrepreneurial activity amongst the youth.

FEEDBACK

"ED Outreach is really helpful because we have some vulnerable children here, totally used to their families being in debt”  - (Durham Gilesgate Sports College Teacher)

“The most useful thing I have learnt is how to make your own business and especially how to budget, because I’ve never been taught that” - (Local School Student)

"I see myself working better in a team and thinking of new ideas" -  (Local School Student)

“I see myself using these skills in interviews in the future” - (Local School Student)
